It's true that without Jim Kirk we wouldn't have Star Trek. Whether you like him as a character or not, he and his Star Trek are the truly iconic representations of boldly going.

I know the actors didn't get along that well when they made the show but it didn't come thru on screen. They always seemed like a crew that I would like to explore the universe with.

Really. One of the special features on the remastered DVDs is interviews with some of the cast members. It turns out that in the second season, a lot of episodes were written for Sulu, but when shooting started, George Takei was delayed filming a movie ("The Green Berets"), so Chekov, who had just joined the cast, was given those parts. Takei said that he resented Walter Koenig for a long time because of that.

DS9 is my favourite It was the last series I watched.. I started on Voyager as it was on tv and I got into it, then TOS, then TNG and then DS9. I never watched much Enterprise, I wasn't too fond of it I just think it's really different having it based on a space station. Plus there's Morn

Who is Morn? I'm sorry, but I watched only about the first season of DS9.

Oh he is an alian who just sits in Quark's bar drinking and not talking very much... infact I think the closest he get's to talking is a laugh on one of the episodes!
