Next time I am at the bookstore, I will see about ordering them. this should prove to be interesting reading and provide insights into Nimoy and Spock. Does anyone know who came up with the idea of Vulcan mind melds??

I have read both of Nimoy's memoirs, but I checked them out of the public library. In the second one, he spends a lot of time talking about other, post Star Trek projects, like "Mission Impossible".

Thanks for the info on Nimoy. his other projects sound interesting to. I remember him on "Mission Impossible" I had a hard time getting used to seeing a "Spock" with human ears and sideburns.

I can see that you're skeptical about the paranormal, Mr. Atoz. That's good, but there are so many things in the universe that we don't understand. I was rather pleased that Star Trek acknowledged this.

Yes, that's a good point. There are a great many unknowns. In this topic, I was just trying for an unusual angle. What if the Vulcan mind meld was just a figment of the imagination, like "psychic powers" in general?

That is a strange way of looking at it. I suppose I just took it for granted that the mind meld was a documented psychic ability.

I'm not saying it isn't, but when you watch these stories as many times as I have, you have to keep the experience fresh somehow. You have to look at it in different ways, or you find yourself just going through the motions, staring dumbly at the screen.

Ah, I do see what you mean. Is that also why you went to the trouble of counting all the people who were killed in the series?

Yes, that is one reason. As you're probably aware, there are a number of myths about Star Trek. The mortality rate of red shirts is one. Kirk's promiscuity is another. I like to take a closer look at things like this.
