Well, I have no idea how many of you actually still come on here, but if there's more than just me maybe it'd be cool to start roleplaying; I mean, you've got the board right there but it could do with a reboot, y'know?
Plus, that "continue the story" thing looks quite popular, so I'm sure y'all could write characters with more than one line.
=D

If we had a good role-playing game going, I might turn up a couple of times a week.

Well, it wouldn't have to be very complicated. You'd just have to read the ground rules, work out some character details, and off we go. ^^

Okay, but I've never organized an online RPG before. I don't know how it works.
How about starting a scout vessel, the USS Mercury, assigned to do a simple six-week survey of planets along the Romulan neutral zone...

Well, sure, but it wouldn't even have to be that inflexible. Everyone starts where the heck they like, and then it's a writer's job to see that everyone gets together. But that sounds good too

Well, let's say three people had characters. They could all be, say, on a starship, or one could be on a starship, one on Earth and one on an archaeological dig on some planet somewhere, in which case it'd be the job of us (the writers) to use our initiative to GET all of the people on the starship.
Basically, the overall concept is that we take control of a character each, and get into an adventure of some sort. Well, you could just sit around on a ship doing nothing, but that's a bit dull.

Well, alright. Should the setting be a 24th-century starship? 22nd? Are we exploring, or in the Dominion War, or diplomats? It's not hard.

Gee, now that you put it that way, I don't know. How do you normally decide questions like this?

...just choose a setting, Atoz. Oh, and for the record, I liked the episode that your namesake was in.
