It's funny you say this I did do some research and it looks like she quit smoking in 98. I normally sit on my researched information until someone says something that I found to be untrue. Making statements with no basis in fact always creates fun conversation.

Thanks, guys. I'm sorry I haven't been on much, lately. Okay, not at all for the last two months.
I haven't been getting much computer time, and lost the link to this site in my e-mail. I should have put it up on my site list, but, I didn't. (Much to my dismay.) I'm trying to downsize my e-mail messages stored.

You know, I really dig Voyager. I've been watching the repeats on sci-fi every afternoon when I get off work. And I really dig 7 of 9, but it has occurred to me that they really wrapped that show around her for awhile. It's like, every other episode was about her humanity or her acclimating to the crew, or some other freaky scenario. Funny, I didn't notice that the first time I watched the show......

Hmm...I'll agree that I can easily just sit and watch Voyager without getting bored, although a couple of the episodes and plots weren't my thing, and I was occasionally frustrated by the mystery in some story arcs, i.e. who's behind this or that or the other; I guess I'm not used to Star Trek being subtle xD
Janeway's voice was a bit grating, and I'd still rather sit on Picard's bridge...but most of the characters (possibly bar Neelix or Harry Kim, who annoyed me about a third of the time) were great, and the ship was rather cool. As for Jeri Ryan, I see more in her acting (which IS superb) than her looks; the Seven of Nine jumpsuit skews her proportions.
