Oh yes Andrea was kind of cute (mainly because of that cross-your-heart jumpsuit she was almost wearing...), but you're probably right that she doesn't count. I can't think of anybody you missed, though. Are we doing yeomen?
So... second season, Kirk had Marlene ("Mirror, Mirror"), Shahna ("Gamesters of Triskelion"), oh yes and sweet little Kelinda ("By Any Other Name")... who else?

Shahna with the green hair was supposed to be this super-sexy amazon, but really I just wasn't turned on my her in the slightest. Yes, sweet little Kelinda was my favorite, I guess. She had this innocence about her...
Let me see, there was the Kanutu woman, Nona ("A Private Little War"), but once again Kirk was drugged when he made love to her, so that shouldn't count. Sylvia in "Catspaw". Another old girlfriend turned up in "The Deadly Years", Jan Wallace. I'm trying to think... there should be one more right on the tip of my tongue...

How about the Alices in "I, Mudd"? They were kind of sweet.
"We are programmed to respond like normal human females, lord." "That unprinciples coolak Harry Mudd programmed you?" "Yes, my lord." "This place is even better than Leningrad..."

Hmm, I guess I can't think of any more. Tell you what to keep things simple, let's just go with the "love interests" for now, and later we can come back and run through the various yeomen. Or that could be a separate topic altogether. But we can't leave season two without at least mentioning Roberta Lincoln (Terri Gar) in "Assignment: Earth".

*slaps his forehead hard!* It was staring me right in the face! Thallassa in "Return to Tomorrow" would also be considered a love interest (even though it technically was Sargon and not Kirk to got to kiss her)! I'm so blind sometimes!

I knew if I left you long enough, you'd think of her *blush!*
Okay then, season three.... Miramanee (the one he actually got preggers), Deela (the queen of Scalos), Odona ("Mark of Gideon")... oh yeah and the sweet innocent Rayna. I think I'm most fond of "Gem" although they never actually kissed. There was something so vulnerable about her...

I know what you mean. I think my favorite is Deela, she was just so flirty. And as a teenager seeing her for the first time (and even today come to think of it) that outfit of hers was so SEXY! Which is strange because it really doesn't show that much skin. Just that one leg, but... mmmmmmm!

Oh yes the old law of unexpected nudity. You don't normally expect to see a thigh that high up, do you?
Then there was Elaan of Troyius and Miranda Jones. Did I miss anybody?

Oh, Miranda Jones! Yes! She was probably the one "love interest" who wasn't interested in Kirk!
Now I guess we can turn back and start talking about the various yeomen who appeared in the series. What did you think of Janice Rand?

This may be an unpopular view, but I thought she was bit of an airhead. I'm sorry I just didn't like her. But hey she was only on for the first half dozen episodes, so that's okay.

An airhead? In what way?

That's a good question. Thinking back, I can only substantiate it with one incident, I believe in "Balance of Terror", when she interrupted Kirk at a critical moment to ask him if she should still be making log entries. I thought that was a pretty silly thing for a yeoman to be asking. But to be fair, she might merely have been nervous with all the red alerts going on.

Oh yes I see what you mean. I think she was just nervous. She wanted to ask him something just to get him to speak to her and reassure her, and that was just the first thing that popped into her head.
