I certainly looks very nice. Do you have a list of ranks?
I'm just not sure if I have the time to join another forum right now. I'm already a member of... let me think... six forums, four of them Star Trek forums.

If I can make a small suggestion, I think your progression table is set too high. You have 50 posts to go from Cadet first class to Cadet second class, a thousand to make Lieutenant. In our experience, the majority of new members don't hang around that long. You want the higher ranks (like Captain) to take some time, to give people a sense of accomplishment. But let the lower ranks go by pretty fast, otherwise they'll feel like they're wasting their time.

To be perfectly honest, I think they could stand to be a teensy bit higher. People who are reasonably enthusiastic about Star Trek can zip right through Ensign and Lieutenant j.g. without noticing. I remember when I got here, I looked up one day and I was already Lieutenant Commander. I thought, "how did that happen?" Then again, this forum isn't all that active either. I notice that (for example) Lexa and AndrewLee made it to Commander and then sort of ran out of steam.

I noticed on the Rank Titles list that you struck out the four Cadet grades. That was a good idea. I was on another forum once, where you had to go through First Year Cadet, Second year, Third Year, Fourth Year, then to Crewman 3rd class, Crewman 2nd, Crewman lst, Petty Officer, Chief Petty Officer, and THEN you finally got to Ensign! Needless to say, not many people hung around that long.

I don't know. Would you want to work your way through all those ranks?

I don't know. Would you want to work your way through all those ranks? Now that you mention it, I don't think I would! It would take a long time to even make a lower officer rank if one had to go through all the enlisted ranks first!

I would be nice if you could somehow set up two parallel tracks, an enlisted track and an officer track. But I don't know how you'd manage it. Or if people would have the patience. Who would opt for the enlisted track if you could be an officer?
