I think that it is a good show buy voyager is much better. now, if the time were set so that it was the most advanced ship in voyagers time that would be kool and it would look the part. I think my least favorite part is the fact that it is all sooo much more high tech when it was filmed yet when it is set is sooo low tech compared to TNG. but i do looove the theme song

The Enterprise NX-01 is the same ship as the Akira class in TNG.

Yes, but it had some small diffrences, like a reduced shuttle bay, larger cargo bays, ect.

I thought you were the one who keeps reminding us that this is all "fiction"? The NX-01 is obviously a lot more primitive than Kirk's Enterprise. Just look at how clumsy the pylons look coming off the stern of the ship!

I like this one - it explaines alot of the beginings and such and also fills in some of the gaps and gives more history about how earth's history influenced the storyline of StarTrek ^..^

Yeah, from the stand point of someone watching the show. Well, it's hardly worth making that point, since we know the orginal was made in the 60s. Even if they had somehow predicted flat plasma screens and touch-sensitive controls, the viewers wouldn't have understood what was going on. And if you're talking about the shape of the ship, I still think Kirk's Enterprise was more futuristic-looking. The NX-01 is just a lumpy, vaguely saucer shaped hull with a couple of engines sticking out the back. The beauty of NCC-1701 was the two separate hulls, connected by a strut, and the engines sitting on those long pylons. That kind of shape had never been seen before.

Ok, please explain this to me...... I've been watching / listening to an Enterprise mini marathon on Sci-fi today. The episode about T'Pol getting some P'Nar Syndrome is on. I was busy ranting about human weakness on Conspiracies & Myths and I missed ALL of the pertinent information and plot line. So,... did T'Pol get like mind raped and catch some mind meld STD? And who is this "minority" that carries it? AWWWWW! Dang you internet!! T.V. used to be my #1 medium, and you have seduced away to the point of distraction!
