I've managed to persuade my partner to let me drag her along to see it, but she says it's only because Spock's being played by Zachary Quinto and she's a Heroes fan.
It's going to be awesome (or at least, it had better be awesome), and it's a weird feeling, wondering if they're going to give Trek new life or kill it dead and dance on its grave.

Doesn't look anywhere near as good as Nimoy did, and Chris Pine isn't Bill Shatner. But still.

The starting concept was interesting when you learned the back story for each character but when the mystery thing in the forest kind of had me rethinking the show.

They lost me when it turned out that some of those "flashbacks" were "flashforwards"! From that point on, you couldn't be sure how anything you saw fit together!
