I will try submitting ourmurl to search engines again, maybe we can attract new members. I have to admit I have no idea what that means!  Well, I do my part. Every time I post a new story, I also add a link to it at another Star Trek forum, Paul Krillmeed's. The thing is that forum isn't that much more active than this one is! |

I know! Everytime one of my kids comes to me with some wierd youtube somebody shot, I run straight to Doubtful News and most of the time I can find an article showing it's a fake. They hate me! But if they're still showing you things even after you debunk them, that's a positive sign isn't it? Now that you mention it, yes it is! I don't want to discourage their feeling of wonder, but at the same time you CAN'T believe everything you see on the Internet, and they need to learn that. I'm particularly worried about by daughter. Sometimes she seems to buy into the idea that women are supposed to think with our hearts and that science and logic are strictly "guy things". I wish I could get her to watch Star Trek with me, but she thinks of it as too old fashioned. It would be nice if they came out with a newer series with young people. |

The thing is that forum isn't that much more active than this one is! I know what you mean! I don't think there are very many active ST sites anymore. I found one, but the people just seemed to babble about nothing in particular. I didn't get the feeling they took Star Trek very seriously. |

It's like Thallassa said. Most forums these days are inactive. I'm hoping that if we're patient a few more Trekkies will blunder along eventually.

You know I'm surprised I haven't heard a lot of buzz about that. I haven't seen the first advert on television. I saw a fan magazine on the racks the other day witn "Into the Darkness" across the top. I thumbed through it but it wasn't about the movie, it was mainly the various series. In the end I didn't buy.
